Erin Carter is a Speech Language Pathologist and has practiced for over 24 years. She initially worked with older adults in the long term care setting for 10 years before transitioning to working with children in the school setting. Ms. Carter has worked at Royal Elementary School in Franklin County since February of 2024. She has loved her time at Royal and the students she has served! Ms. Carter is married with 3 children and 2 Golden Retrievers. She enjoys golfing, fishing, swimming and watching football.

Kalan Hoskins is the School Counselor at Royal Elementary School. She has a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from East Carolina University. She furthered her training and education by becoming a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She began working as a school counselor in 2001 and joined Franklin County Schools and Royal Elementary School in 2018.

Mr. Thorp lives with his wife of 31 years and one cat. He has two grown children. His daughter lives in Dunn, NC and his son lives in Washington, DC with one child, Mr. Thorps only grandchild. Mr. Thorp has worked as an elementary school educator for the past 26 years. He began teaching 8 years in Prince Georges County MD before moving to NC and teaching in Wake County for another 8 years. He has now worked at Royal Elementary in Franklin County for the past 10 years, 3 of them as an interventionist. He is excited about another excellent year at Royal Elementary School.

Mrs. Vonita White currently serves as the EL Teacher at Bunn Middle and Elementary Schools. She began working in Franklin County August 2015 as a 6th Grade ELA teacher.
In the 2018-2019 school year, she was voted Cedar Creek Middle School’s Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. White has been in the field of education for over 25 years in various capacities such as: Lead Teacher Administrator; ELA Teacher; Pre-GED Instructor; ABE(Adult Basic Education) Instructor; Mentor Teacher; Grade Chair and Instructional Coach.
Her motto: "We must meet students where they are."
In the 2018-2019 school year, she was voted Cedar Creek Middle School’s Teacher of the Year.

Alisa Wiggins is self-directed, action-oriented professional with over 20 years of experience in education and community service. This is her 12th year as a kindergarten teacher at Royal Elementary School. Ms. Wiggins obtained her BA in Early Childhood Education from Mount Olive University. She received her teaching license from North Carolina Central University. She later pursued her MED in Education Administration from Strayer University. Alisa Wiggins is a firm believer that “Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding.”-Robert John Meehan. During her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Williams is our Health Science and Nursing Fundamentals teacher. This is her 10th year teaching at BHS. She is married and has two grown children. Mrs. Williams is also a BHS alum...Go Wildcats!
Mrs. Williams is a registered nurse and was employed at WakeMed Health and Hospitals prior to coming to Bunn. She is also a certified BLS/CPR and First Aid instructor for the American Heart Association.
In her spare time, Mrs. Williams likes to hang out at Atlantic Beach. She loves to read and cross stitch. She is also involved in her church and sings in the choir.
Recently, Mrs. Williams purchased a ukulele and a guitar. She hopes to learn to play them very soon!
